“Thelluloid Empire” is the term used to encompass the three races and their planets that make it up, excluding the races they have enslaved through their millennia of galactic conquest, despite having the planets of the enslaved people absorbed into the Empire as a political entity.

The Ar’a

Homeworld: Tarash

Defining traits: Bluish skin, curved horns, luminescent eyes, pointy ears

Average height: 2,2 meters

Average lifespan: 1400 years

Most common roles in the Empire: Officials, commanders, politicians

Description:

The Ar’a are the most intelligent race of the Empire, more often than not holding down high-level, important positions in Thelluloid leadership and politics. Most Ar’a are wealthy, influential and cunning, their word trusted above all other races in important matters. Ar’a are not particular to their own kind within the Empire, and very prone to addictions of various kinds depending on the Ar’a’s tastes.

For every five female Ar’a, there is one male, commonly employed as slave-trainers or lieutenants of the Thelluloid Empire’s fleets.

The Shix

Homeworld: Tor’vereng

Defining traits: Grey-violet/blue-grey skin, bulging musculature, small tusks, dark eyes, pointy ears

Average height: 2.5 meters

Average lifespan: 1100 years

Most common roles in the Empire: Warriors, slave-trainers, manufacturers

Description:

The Shix as the largest, strongest race of the Empire. Their bulks and muscle does not deprive them of intelligence (apart from the males), but most Shix prefer to follow than to lead. They are the workhorses of the Empire, fewest in number, but still instrumental in the Empire’s military successes.

There are as many males as females among the Shix, however males are witless and in dire need of direction, making them perfect as shock troops and canon-fodder for the Empire’s fleets.

The Hynger

Homeworld: Illia

Defining traits: Pinkish skin, pointy ears, spots on the skin akin to large freckles

Average height: 1.7 meters

Average lifespan: 300 years

Most common roles in the Empire: Bureaucrats, menials, scribes, authors, physicians

Description:

The Hynger are the smallest in terms of stature in the Empire, but are numerically superior by far. Highly intelligent and tenacious, the Hynger usually make up those who support the vital aspects of the Thelluloid Empire, and make great technical workers due to their brains that are able to process information twice as fast as the average sentient species.

Only a third of the Hynger are free members of the Empire, the rest are slaves, in high demand for their nubile bodies and submissive nature. However, as the Hynger are members of the Thelluloid Empire and equal to the Ar’a and Shix, Hynger slaves can only be bought by official contracts and never taken as prize or spoils.

There are no male Hynger, for the Hynger can reproduce Hynger children with any other species.
